Lo soñaste despierta en tantas ocasiones, con tantos escenarios y personajes que al momento en que ese sueño se convierte en una realidad, ¡te pellizcas y entiendes que lo lograste! y no exactamente por los posts en Instagram o chicanearlo a tus amigos en redes. lo lograste porque es tu victoria interna después de tantas luchas y tropiezos, pero sin darte cuenta que ahora viene una lucha aún más grande, tu escape de la zona de confort y la lucha contigo misma.
Corea del sur desde el primer momento fue ese sueño hecho realidad, lleno de sabores, sonrisas y paisajes que llenaron en cada larga caminata y frustraciones diarias por no poder retratar con tal magnitud lo que mis ojos querían mostrarle al mundo.
A diferencia de otros países, Corea del sur fue muy fácil al entrar, solo mostrando mi pasaporte fue necesario para cruzar migraciones y luego de mis pequeños intentos en hablar coreano, recibí mucho amor y calidez por parte de sus habitantes.
Datos importantes que debes saber:
Tipo de visa o requisitos al entrar: varían dependiendo de la procedencia de tu pasaporte;
Los colombianos por ejemplo no necesitamos visa para entrar al país debido a nuestra larga historia con Corea del sur. (Colombia participo como apoyo a Corea del sur en la famosa guerra de Corea en 1950). Pero sé que para otros países los requisitos pueden ser diferentes y por ello debes informarte antes de viajar al país.
Wifi: Lo encontraras de manera gratuita en el aeropuerto, la conexión a veces no es tan estable, pero puedes caminar un poco más al 7 eleven u otros comercios dentro del aeropuerto y encontraras redes de internet abierta. En mi caso Iptime salvo mis días en varias ocasiones ya que es una red abierta que puedes encontrar en muchas partes al igual que cada convenience o estación del subway.
Google maps: No funciona tan bien como en otros países ya que no es la red más usada, pero aun puedes seguir usándola en caso de emergencia. las alternativas más usadas son:

(para buses, autos, motos o caminar).
En caso de Subways:

Todas estas opciones son muy confiables, te indican el tiempo casi exacto de llegada, para los buses si viene muy lleno de personas o vacío y en los subways te indica la entrada más conveniente y te ayuda sobre todo en caso de hacer transbordos de una estación a otra.
Google Explorer: funciona bien para muchas opciones pero si lo que buscas es información de algo coreano como tal, sugiero intentes Naver: https://www.naver.com/ ya que es el navegador más usado para los coreanos y puedes automatizar la opción de traductor en caso de necesitarlo.
Simcard:
Puedes comprarla online, directamente en el aeropuerto de Incheon/Gimpo, Hongik University Station Office o Seoul station. Tienes opciones de internet por 10gb, 15gb o ilimitado, llamadas locales, internacionales mensajes de texto y las duraciones varían entre 1, 7, 15, 30 dias hasta 3 meses. (extendiendo cada mes de manera prepagada) y los precios rondan alrededor de los 40.000w.

Papago Translate https://papago.naver.com/ Funciona bastante bien y además en las ciudades principales o turísticas no es tan necesario ya que vas a encontrar la mayoría de letreros traducidos al inglés y siempre hay personas que lo hablan muy bien o al menos conocen las palabras básicas. (te sugiero aprender un poco del idioma antes de viajar, leerlo no es tan dificil e intentar comunicarse con ellos es muy bien recibido al igual que los modales a la hora de comunicarse, comer o beber).
Hospedaje y alimentación: Vas a encontrar opciones para todos los gustos y colores. Tienes desde las opciones más económicas como hostels con habitación compartida, habitaciones privadas, moteles, y hoteles. En mi caso te sugiero que pruebes:

Vas a encontrar diversas opciones como cafés con intercambio de idiomas, hostels que requieren de ayuda, familias que buscan personas que hablen ingles nativo y les ayuden con sus hijos o personas que necesitan ayuda con algún proyecto como pintar o remodelar casas.

South Korea from the first moment was that dream come true. It was full of flavors, smiles, and landscapes that I was able to experience throughout my walks around the country. But also, daily frustrations for not being able to portray what my eyes wanted to show the world.
Unlike other countries, South Korea was very easy to enter. Just showing my passport was all I needed to cross migrations and after my small attempts to speak Korean, I received a lot of love and warmth from the people.
Important facts you should know:

Google Search works well for many options but if you are looking for information about something Korean, I suggest you try Naver https://www.naver.com/ since it is the most used search engine for Koreans and you can automate the translator option if you need it.

Papago translate: https://papago.naver.com/ works quite well and also in the main or tourist cities it is not so necessary since you will find most of the signs translated into English and there are always people who speak it very well or at least know the basic words. (I suggest you learn a little of the Korean language before traveling.
